Dear Crystal Ball,

Are you curious what the future holds for the world of interior design? Will shibori take over where ikat left off? Will people get tired of all these white walls and go crazy painting everything inĀ bold, saturated color? And will everyone finally get rid of those “Keep Calm and Carry On” posters? Find out the answers to these questions and more in my latest collaboration with Architectural Digest.

Love,
Orlando

  1. My latest issue House Beautiful arrived in my mailbox just the other day, and whoa. Somebody needs to simmer down with the crazy colors! My eyes! Meanwhile, I know it’s a thing, + I know I am going to have it sooner than later, ’cause that’s what I do.

  2. Thank you for sharing your great article- Bye Edison bulbs! However, I cannot afford any sculptural pendant lights from the sources you gave. Would you be able to recommend some kitchen island pendant lights that won’t break the bank and yet are stylish? Re: not industrial.
(For me personally, my house is an American four square/craftsman and my island will be 9 feet long).
    Thank you thank you!!!
